D. Naranchimeg, Senior Engineer at a customer service centre of the Housing and Public Utilities Authority, delivered a lecture to CITI University faculty today on water use, the value of water and global water resources, explaining approaches to protection and conservation.

She emphasised that conservation involves not only reducing domestic and drinking-water consumption but also avoiding running taps, repairing faulty equipment promptly and preventing unnecessary water loss.

Water is essential to human life, she explained, and unsustainable use creates risks of future shortages.

Engineer D. Naranchimeg stated that 700 million people worldwide could face water scarcity by 2030.

She stressed that responsible consumption and attitudes are important for protecting limited water resources. Reducing wastage and applying conservation principles in everyday life also contribute to resource protection.

Water supports ecological balance as well as meeting fundamental human needs.
