CITI University’s library has added Factfulness and Dare to Lead, books acclaimed by figures including Bill Gates and Barack Obama and featured prominently on bestseller lists, including The New York Times.

Factfulness was written by statistician, speaker, physician and scholar Hans Rosling near the end of his life, together with Ola Rosling and Anna Rosling. It has helped millions develop a factual view of the world. Published in 2018, it attracted major attention and changed readers’ perspectives. Hans Rosling was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in 2012. Bill Gates described it as among the most important books he had read and a valuable guide to understanding the contemporary world.

We also recommend Dare to Lead by University of Houston professor, personal-development researcher and speaker Brené Brown. She has researched vulnerability—the acceptance and sharing of one’s own vulnerable truths—for more than 20 years.

Described as a guide for those seeking thoughtful leadership and courageous living, and as a book filled with inspiring and moving stories that can change perspectives, Dare to Lead is recommended to CITI University faculty and students.
