The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and CITI University have signed a memorandum of cooperation in teaching, research and academic work.

The memorandum was signed by Chamber Executive Director T. Duuren and CITI University Board Chair D. Munkh-Erdene. To improve the business environment, the parties will cooperate in drafting economic and business policy documents, conducting research and implementing projects and programmes.
Employees of Chamber member organisations will also be able to access CITI University’s bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and part-time bachelor’s programmes, as well as short- and medium-term professional training, with flexible payment arrangements and reduced fees.

CITI University Board Chair D. Munkh-Erdene:
‘It is important for universities to prepare people who meet employers’ needs and workplace requirements. Cooperation with entrepreneurs, enterprises and organisations also increases the usefulness of research. We regard this opportunity to cooperate with the Chamber, which has more than 5,000 members and supports business interests and the business environment, as significant. We thank the Chamber for supporting a private university and research institution and establishing the basis for cooperation.’
Chamber Executive Director T. Duuren: ‘Through today’s agreement, the Chamber, Mongolia’s largest association of businesses, and CITI University, a professional educational institution, are creating a system that enables employees of our member organisations to learn continuously and develop professionally in the workplace. The agreement also creates opportunities to help CITI University graduates find employment with Chamber members.’
