The opening of Steppe Arena–Ice Palace, a major new development in Mongolia’s winter sports, sport and culture, took place on the 29th of this month. Built through the social responsibility initiatives of national companies including Achit Ikht, MAK, United Project Corporation and Steppe Link Holding, the year-round venue invited CITI University students to cooperate.
More than 50 students from the Schools of Business and Humanities worked successfully as opening-event coordinators at the Ice Palace from 21 to 29 September 2021 under the supervision of Tourism Department Head B. Gantulga.
More than 2,600 people attended the opening, including the President of Mongolia, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar D. Sumiyabazar, Physical Culture and Sports Authority Head Ts. Sharavjamts, and representatives of foreign embassies in Mongolia.
We thank the faculty and students who organised and coordinated the opening of this significant development in Mongolian winter sports, and wish them continued success in study and work.
