CITI University’s School of Construction, Architecture and Design holds the CITI Design competition annually for upper-secondary students. Under this academic year’s plan, the competition is taking place in April, with students in grades 9–12 from the capital and all 21 provinces competing in four categories.

Now in its 15th year, the competition covers Fashion Design, Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design. More than 200 students submitted works this year, and the first selection rounds have concluded successfully. In Fashion Design, 50 collections in national dress, formalwear, avant-garde and everyday clothing qualified for the final, to be held at 15:00 on 21 April at the Ulaanbaatar Ensemble venue.

First-round selections in Architecture, Interior Design and Graphic Design will be displayed in an exhibition of outstanding works, from which the judging panel will select this year’s winners.

With participation and the quality of submitted designs improving each year, CITI Design aims to encourage constructive use of students’ free time, help discover and develop their abilities, and provide career guidance. Outstanding entrants will receive tuition reductions at CITI University, cash prizes and certificates. The final is open to the public, who may also view the exhibition of student works.
