Translation Students Undertake Field Practice

Third-year Korean Translation students at CITI University’s School of Humanities, accompanied by academic adviser Ch. Batchimeg, visited historical and cultural sites in Uvurkhangai and Arkhangai provinces on 8–9 November for translation field practice.

The itinerary included Elsen Tasarkhai, Erdene Zuu and other natural, historical and cultural attractions visited by domestic and international tourists.

Students strengthened their interpreting skills by presenting information about the provinces’ history and cultural heritage to tourists.

Field practice provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge, gain experience and develop professional skills.

A thorough understanding of Mongolia’s traditions, culture and everyday life enables translation students to provide tourists with accurate and substantive information.
