Kobayashi Hiroyuki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, visited CITI University with his wife and embassy Second Secretary Ito Yoriko.
President Professor Ts. Baigalmaa, Ph.D., Head of International Relations T. Altantsetseg, and Japanese language lecturer E. Bulgantuul met the delegation.
President Ts. Baigalmaa provided detailed information about cooperation with Japanese universities and organisations and joint educational programmes. She also introduced the university’s origins, development, achievements and ambition to become an internationally respected institution.
Ambassador Kobayashi welcomed the development of Mongolia’s education sector, improvements in higher education quality and the implementation of joint international programmes. He toured the facilities and classrooms and spoke with students. He noted that CITI University’s learning environment could compete with international institutions and expressed willingness to support links with respected Japanese universities and cooperate in promoting Japanese education and culture.
