CITI University School of Law lecturer and Associate Professor (PhD in Law) Ts. Munkhdelger has published “Pension Systems and Legal Reform”, a scholarly work now available to the public.

The book analyses international treaties and conventions and Mongolia’s social insurance legislation. Drawing on theoretical and comparative research, it identifies opportunities and approaches for legal reform to support a transition from a single-source pay-as-you-go pension system to a multi-source funded system.

It also compares the legal regulation of multi-source pension systems and approaches to pension fund asset growth in selected OECD member states, Russia and China, considering their potential application in Mongolia.

The publication identifies challenges in improving the legal regulation of old-age pensions in response to current social, economic and demographic conditions, and proposes possible solutions. It contributes to both theoretical discussion and practical policy development.
